More Than Trucks. A Community.
10-4 Teen exists to connect 1:14 scale RC truck enthusiasts and make finding events effortless.
Built From Experience
10-4 Teen was built from decades of RC experience — and one simple frustration: finding 1:14 scale events shouldn’t feel like detective work.
The roots go back to the mid-1980s, when RC racing was a local weekend hobby. Like many enthusiasts, life eventually shifted toward family, work, and responsibilities. Years later, RC returned through the next generation — starting with nitro bashing, moving into competitive electric racing, and eventually growing into a full family race team.
Over time, interests evolved. Crawling events were hosted. Larger gatherings were organized. The community grew. And then came 1:14 scale semi trucks.
Why 1:14 Scale?
The 1:14 world offered something different:
A slower pace
A stronger sense of community
Detailed builds and creativity
Events centered around realism, not speed
It wasn’t about lap times. It was about craftsmanship, conversation, and connection.
The Problem
Despite the growth, one issue remained consistent: discovering events.
Many were only heard about after they happened. Others were announced once — nearly a year in advance — then went quiet until the week of the event, when posts appeared saying, “On the way to ____!”
Finding events shouldn’t feel like detective work.
The Mission
10-4 Teen was created to fix that.
The mission is simple: provide a central, reliable directory for 1:14 scale events — across the Midwest, across the country, and eventually worldwide.
This platform exists to help:
Builders find events early
Organizers share events easily
The community grow stronger through visibility
10-4 Teen isn’t tied to a single club, region, or organization. It’s built for the broader 1:14 community.
Just trucks.
Just events.
Just community.
